A few months ago, I made set of baby gender reveal cookies for a friend of mine (you can see those here). This time, I’m the one who’s expecting, so I made a set for myself! Watch until the end to see if our little bun in the oven (or should I say cookie?!) is a boy or a girl!
Here's what you'll need to make these baby gender reveal cookies:

1-3/4" Chocolate cookies (recipe below)

1/2 cup (113 grams) butter, softened
2 cups (225 grams) confectioners' sugar
2 Tbs (30 mL) milk
Pinch of salt
1 tsp (5mL) vanilla
Combine butter and confectioners' sugar. Add milk and salt and mix until smooth. Add vanilla and continue to mix until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes)
Color with Candy Colors.
Chocolate Roll-Out Cookies:
4 cups (575 grams) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
1 cup (85 grams) cocoa powder
1 teaspoon (4 grams) salt
1 cup (226 grams) butter, softened
2 cups (450 grams) sugar
2 eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon (5 mL) vanilla extract
½ cup (122 grams) milk
Combine butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, and salt
Add cocoa powder and milk.
Stir in flour.
Split into two pieces. Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll dough to 3/16″ (5mm) and cut cookies using a round cookie cutter.
Bake cookies at 350ºF (175°C) for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely before decorating.
